    Food effluents as novel source of nanovesicles for a wide range of applications

    Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are lipid bilayer-delimited nanoparticles that are naturally secreted by almost all types of cells to establish intercellular communication. EVs has been traditionally obtained from human cell in culture, but this possess severe limitations in terms of safety, scalability and significant operational cost. These issues motivated researchers to explore alternative EVs sources, in particular, food such as bovine milk and plants, which have the main advantages of.
