The goal of the EWA (Empowering Women in Agrifood) program is to motivate women entrepreneurs at an early stage to use their abilities to succeed and overcome all obstacles, to equip them with the appropriate knowledge and confidence for successful work, and to start and develop sustainable businesses.

During this all-day event, female entrepreneurs had the opportunity to participate in workshops, networking and speed mentoring, where they received answers to questions and learned about useful tools for business development.

  • The first workshop was held by mentor Nikolina Topić, CEO at Prokotip, on the topic of Value Proposition Development. During the 90-minute workshop, the participants were introduced to the Miro platform. Nikolina helped our mentees to define the value proposition they plan to deliver to their future customers.
  • The second workshop was held by mentor Hermes Arriaga from Impact Hub on the topic of Business Modeling. Using the Business Model Canvas tool, our entrepreneurs developed components of their business model, such as key partners, activities, resources, value proposition, channels, customer segments, cost structure, customer relationships and revenue streams.

Between the workshops and at the end of the event additional mentoring in the “speedmentoring” form was organised. This way, each female entrepreneur met with all other mentors, who provided whole group with a different perspective on the challenges they face.

This meeting occurred to be an ideal opportunity to strengthen entrepreneurial leadership skills of the EWA programme participants and to network with other women leaders within the agri-food ecosystem.
