JAMK University of Applied Sciences

JAMK University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) is a creative reinvented institute of higher education. They develop and strengthen learning, competence, and competitiveness together with partners and cooperation networks – both in Finland and around the world. The Institute of Bioeconomy is part of JAMK and supports JAMK's bioeconomy-focus area. The Institute of Bioeconomy offers agrology education on bachelor and master level, as well as energy and environment engineering education. Its R&D focuses on smart and sustainable agriculture, bioeconomy business acceleration, reducing of environmental impacts of land use, smart energy systems and renewable energy sources, producing and valorisation of biomasses, as well as circular economy. The Institute of bioeconomy has a physical (and soon virtual) smart farming testing environment, as well as laboratory services for researching different biomasses and the bio-business accelerator to create new bioeconomy based business
