Investing in Tomorrow: Youth-Driven Innovations to Combat Food Loss and Waste
Food loss and waste is a pressing global challenge, with approximately one-fifth of all food produced for human consumption lost or wasted each year. This exacerbates food insecurity but also contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, waste of resources, and environmental degradation.
Young people represent a dynamic force capable of driving change in food systems through innovations, technology, and grassroots initiatives. Drawing inspiration from incredible youth-led initiatives across the globe, his event is a dedicated platform for engaging young minds, visionaries, and potential investors in a dialogue focused on reducing food loss and waste through innovative, youth-led solutions.
By fostering a collaborative space, this session will dive into practical, scalable initiatives that young leaders are already spearheading, from technological innovations to community-led awareness campaigns. With an emphasis on the role of targeted investments, the event will showcase how directing resources toward youth-focused projects can catalyze lasting change across the food supply chain.
The session will feature presentations, roundtable discussions, and panel insights, encouraging active participation and networking opportunities for young innovators, investors, and industry stakeholders.
